Emails & Notifications

Every claim and registration lifecycle triggers a set of automatic customer-facing emails, each editable from Settings, plus an internal notifications section that isn't wired up yet.

Automatic customer emails

A claim or registration's lifecycle triggers these emails automatically:

  • Order / registration confirmation
  • Claim submitted
  • Claim status changed
  • Claim escalated
  • Claim update
  • Return shipping instructions
  • Return received confirmation
  • Registration expiring (reminder)
  • Registration expired

Editing email content

Each template's body text can be edited at Settings → Emails. Every template has a Reset to default option if an edit needs to be undone.

Internal notification preferences

Settings → Advanced has a separate Notifications section with checkboxes for internal team alert preferences — for example, being notified when a claim is submitted or a webhook endpoint goes unhealthy.

These checkboxes aren't functional yet — there's no backend wired up behind them today. Treat this section as a preview of what's coming, not a working setting.

Sending domain

There's no merchant-configurable sending domain. All of these emails send from a fixed platform address rather than the merchant's own domain — there's no DKIM/SPF setup to manage.

Aging and SLA alerts

There's no separate aging or SLA alert email sent to the merchant's team when a claim sits too long. The closest equivalent is the escalation mechanism described in Set up your claims workflow (/docs/claims-workflow).
